Our purpose

Monash Gallery of Art will provide excellence, access and education within the visual arts for the residents of the City of Monash and wider metropolitan Melbourne.

Our collection

Specialising in Australian photography, the Monash Gallery of Art Collection is recognised as one of the finest in the Nation. As a comprehensive collection, it traces the early development of Australian photography through to contemporary photographic practice.

Our commitment

Monash Gallery of Art will:

• Present exhibitions, publications and education programs, which are visually stimulating, entertaining and creative.
  
• Provide our visitors with a unique cultural experience embracing our collection, exhibitions, garden and unique building designed by renowned architect Harry Siedler.
  
• Responsibly manage and increase our financial resources to enable us to pursue our vision in a sustainable way to enhance the Gallery for the enjoyment of future generations.
