Digital photography essentials workshops with Tim Handfield (3/4)

Held in conjunction with the 2010 William & Winifred Bowness Photography Prize, over four Saturdays from 2-23 October 2010.
TIM HANDFIELD will present a step-by-step, basic to intermediate course designed to demystify digital photography and give you the essential concepts and techniques to take better digital photographs and to manage them through to superb digital prints. The techniques presented have been distilled from Tim's 30 years as an art photographer and master printer, including 20 years working digitally.

- The fundamentals of image enhancement: controlling: tone, colour, resolution and sharpness
- Visualisation: assessing your images and planning your approach to enhancement
- Introduction to Photoshop tools and techniques
- Photoshop techniques for selective refinement and enhancement of your images
- Preserving image quality while making alterations: using layers for non-destructive image editing
