With over 450 entries the 2009 Bowness Prize is the biggest yet - come and see the 50 short-listed photographs and vote for your favourite! The MGA Foundation will award $20,000 to the winning photographer, with $1,000 awarded to the winner of the peoples’ choice award. The annual William and Winifred Bowness Photography Prize is an initiative of the MGA Foundation. Established to attract a range of support with the aim of expanding and enriching the MGA permanent collection, the MGA Foundation is an initiative of the MGA and is governed by an independent Board of Trustees.
