As one of Australia's leading public galleries, the MGA prides itself on its unique and extensive collection of Australian photography along with its diverse range of exhibitions and events that enrich the lives and minds of our community.

The MGA Foundation has been established to attract a range of support with the aim of expanding and enriching the permanent collection as well as funding special projects.

You are warmly invited to become a part of the MGA's history and to demonstrate your passion for the Gallery, Australian photography and excellence in the visual arts.

Since the MGA opened in 1990, we have been deeply grateful for the support of the community, art lovers, collectors, artists, organisations, and all levels of government, which have helped to transform the gallery into one of Australia's key cultural institutions.

The MGA Foundation now offers a greater scope for philanthropic support to ensure our future is secure.

By donating to the MGA Foundation you will be helping to ensure the continued growth and success of the Gallery while providing a lasting contribution that will enrich the lives and minds of future generations.

Ways to give

You can play a vital role in the life and work of the MGA by making a tax-deductible contribution in the form of cash donations, bequests or gifts of artwork.

A range of endowment options exist:
Fellow $500 — $4,999
Patron $5,000 — $9,999
Benefactor $10,000 — $49,999
Founder $50,000+

Gifts of $500 and more will be prominently acknowledged on the MGA's donor board and included in the Annual Report . Donations may be made as a single payment or installments over a designated period of time. Acknowledgment will be made annually in the period of time in which the donation is received. Sustained acknowledgment and upgrades of donor level are negotiable.

We recommend you consult your financial or legal adviser for specific advice to insure your wishes are honored.

Tax deductibility

All donations to the MGA Foundation are tax-deductible and will be issued with a tax receipt.

The MGA Foundation is endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) under the Income Tax Assessment Act of 1997.

The MGA Foundation is an initiative of the Monash Gallery of Art Committee of Management and is governed by an independent Board of Trustees.
