Return to nature: education resources

Download the Return to nature Educators Kit (2022)

This resource has been created for educators to use as a reference in conjunction with
Monash Gallery of Art’s exhibition Return to nature.

This kit is filled with information that will be useful for educators of many study levels to give
context and insight into the exhibition and industry contexts of MGA as a public gallery.

You will also find behind the scenes information, definitions of art terms, explanations of relevant
photographic techniques and critical thinking prompts.

Use this kit to assist in developing class content, discussions and activities regarding the
exhibition.

The exhibition can be viewed in person at MGA between 8 July – 18 September 2022 and
virtually from 18 July 2022. Additionally, educators and community groups can book a tailored
tour with an MGA Education and Public Engagement coordinator to discuss the exhibition
within frameworks relevant to areas of study and areas of interest. Tours can be booked both
physically and virtually, https://www.mga.org.au/education/booking-portal .
