Defending Gallipoli: a Turkish standpoint
31 March 2015 to 3 May 2015
Defending Gallipoli: a Turkish standpoint is about the WWI military campaign at Gallipoli seen from the point of view of Turkish soldiers. The photographs in the exhibition have been sourced from Turkish archives. They are all taken by unknown, amateur photographers from behind the Turkish line of defence, and provide a different perspective on this historic conflict. This exhibition is timed to coincide with the 100 year anniversary of the lead up and landing of Australian troops near Ari Burnu on 25 April 1915.
